Marriage Counselor: About Me
I am a marriage counselor, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, specializing in marriage counseling, couples counseling, pre-marital counseling and family counseling. I teach couples how to get along, be good friends and lovers and create a marriage for a lifetime. I have several years of experience and training with family of origin issues, improving couple/marital relationships, healing trauma, and learning how to better manage your emotions. I work with a variety of marriage and family issues such as infidelity, communication problems, parenting, family concerns, interracial relationships, and step-families. My PhilosophyAs a marriage counselor, I believe it is essential to take personal responsibility for ourselves and in our relationships. Because of this, I strive to help individuals, couples and families use their strengths to get out of "victim mode" and change their life! We all have the answers inside us to find happiness, success and well being. Sometimes we just need a little guidance getting there. I would be honored to share that journey with you.Education & TrainingI attended Colorado College and earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I also have a teaching certificate from University of Denver and have taught elementary school both in Chicago and Denver.
